DENISE BARONIAN + TRISH BARTEL
Women's Ministry Pastors
My name is Denise Baronian and I was born in Hampton/Newport News, VA. After being a stay-at-home mom for 16 years, I returned to school and completed a Bachelor’s in Communication and later completed my Master’s in Organizational Leadership. My “free” time is usually spent hanging out with family, having coffee with a friend, binge watching on Netflix, reading, writing, cooking a new recipe or exploring something new! My happy place is the beach and I have a bucket list full of places I’d love to visit! I’ve been married to my amazing husband, Steve, for 36 years and have a son and daughter who are both married and within the last six years, gave me four rambunctious grandsons.
I’ve been involved with Women’s Ministry for over 30 years and most recently as the Women’s Pastor of Women’s Ministry here at First Street Church. Our ministry is designed to give women a safe place to be themselves, experience community, connect with new friends, and to grow in their faith. I’d like to personally invite you to join us at one of our Women’s Events or at our Women’s Devotional time on Sunday mornings at 9:30am.

Hello, I'm Trish Bartel, and I am deeply grateful to be a child of God, experiencing His
redemption and restoration in my life! My journey includes being a single mom for 12 years. At a point when I had nearly lost hope of ever having a healthy marriage, the Lord blessed me with my amazing husband, Will. We have now been happily married for 8 years. Together, we have found joy while navigating the challenges and blessings of raising 5 children in a blended family. As a mother, I find immense joy in being actively involved in our children's lives.
Professionally, I've served as a Physician Assistant for 28 fulfilling years, cherishing the opportunity to positively impact others' health. I've been dedicated to Women's Ministry for the past 3 years, and I’m eagerly awaiting the opportunities the Lord is going to provide in this new setting. A favorite verse of mine, Jeremiah 29:11, serves as a constant reminder of God's plans for us: plans for prosperity, protection, and a hopeful future.
